**The selected employee will be based in the Greensburg, Reading or Akron areas**

The Business Analyst leads the Transmission Continuous Improvement (CI) function, sets the strategy for CI implementation, assists with identification of CI projects and decision making, facilitates process improvement sessions, documents process improvement requirements, communicates process improvement efforts and projects, and conducts regular CI round table meetings.  CI activities are primarily focused on transmission project delivery process, but may also extend to other Transmission functions.

Responsible for coordinating development and maintenance of Business Plans across Transmission.  Provides oversight of other functions such as maintenance and administration of Transmission Project Lifecycle Management Process (PLMP), analyzing PLMP performance against goals, establishing, maintaining and reporting PLMP Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and  administering and ensuring application of project lessons learned.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, have demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and have a demonstrate history of implementing sustained improvements in industry using CI techniques.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with executive leadership, setting strategy for CI project identification, prioritization, development and implementation in alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Driving change
  • Promoting CI project identification, development and implementation within Transmission functional areas
  • Creating CI project plans, and guide CI staff and other stakeholders
  • Scheduling, facilitating and conducting cross-functional process improvement sessions (CI roundtable meetings)
  • Training and guiding personnel on use of Six Sigma, Lean and other CI techniques
  • Coordinating with functional area personnel to identify, review and gain approval for process improvements
  • Reviewing proposed PLMP changes and coordinate approval of changes with PLMP process owner
  • Reviewing and publishing monthly and ad-hoc reports on process improvements
  • Coordinating with Transmission departments to develop, publish, update and communicate the annual Transmission Business Plan
  • Overseeing analysis of PLMP performance against goals
  • Overseeing the establishment, maintenance, and reporting of PLMP KPIs
  • Overseeing administration and ensuring application of project lessons learned
  • Conducting analyses to determine the root causes of issues

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Math, Science or a related technical field with a minimum 10 years related work experience.  An advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.  In lieu of a degree, 13 years of direct, related experience will be considered.
  • Experience applying CI practices in industry is required
  • Six Sigma / Lean certification from a recognized granting authority is highly desired
  • Prior experience with root cause analysis is desired
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in process/project development, planning/analysis, and performance reporting is desired
  • Exceptional relationship management, leadership, teamwork, and managerial skills are required
