**The selected employee will be based in the Greensburg, Reading or Akron areas**

Primarily responsible for creating and maintaining capital portfolio management and capital project management tools and applications using multiple systems.  Responsible for maintaining system architecture, including assisting Transmission leadership with understanding implications of system changes or additions.  The systems to be maintained are primarily those supporting capital project delivery within Transmission Programs, including enterprise portfolio management, scheduling, project controls and document management systems.  From a business unit perspective, and as it relates to Transmission systems, performs system maintenance, system configuration, application development, system security / user administration (provisioning), report development and system documentation.

Responsible to serve as primary liaison with the FE IT organization for Transmission Programs systems.  Working with FE IT, incorporates and tests new releases to existing systems.  Assists with identification, evaluation, and implementation of new Transmission Programs systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, interpersonal communication skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and have the requisite technical expertise with regards to system administration.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining capital portfolio management and capital project management tools and applications using multiple systems
  • In conjunction with FE IT, applying system updates, patches, and configuration changes for FET systems, as needed
  • Designing and publishing custom reporting solutions for business unit users of capital portfolio management and capital project management systems
  • In accordance with FE policies, maintaining security for users of FE Transmission (FET) systems, executing backups, and maintaining recovery capability
  • Troubleshooting application and system problems reported by business users
  • In conjunction with FE IT, installing and configuring hardware and software for FET
  • On-boarding new system users and adding, removing, or updating user accounts
  • Serving as an overall project manager for design and implementation of new systems from a business unit perspective
  • Maintaining policies and guidelines for proper systems use
  • Providing business unit user training on systems, answering technical questions and assisting users as required
  • Evaluating, documenting, designing, and implementing system changes, including configuring and revising application modules as required by business unit users
  • Implementing new modules and module changes as requested by business unit users and approved by management


Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Math, Science or a related technical field with a minimum 10 years related work experience.  An advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.  In lieu of a degree, 13 years of direct, related experience will be considered. 
  • Direct work experience with business unit systems (i.e., systems installation, upgrades, module development, user provisioning, etc) is required
  • Experience configuring business processes in Oracle Unifier and/or OPPM is highly desired
  • Demonstrated project management experience is required.  PMP credential is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting processes and creating and maintaining application procedures is desired
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Must be skillful at managing stakeholder groups and employs a strong, customer centric approach
