About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Solutions, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FES]

 

Responsibilities include:

 

• This position will be engaged in and responsible for a wide range of Cash Management and SAP system activities.

• Primary cash responsibilities include: SAP Treasury (Cash Management, In-House Cash, Transaction Manager) module business process specialist, effectively managing daily cash position process, management of company bank accounts and related cash General Ledger (GL) accounts in SAP, prepare cash forecast, monitor and maintain ample liquidity.

• Ensure regular reconciliation and documentation of assigned cash GL accounts to bank statements as well as non-cash GL accounts assigned by General Accounting for monthly review and sign-off.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies of actual cash activity in bank, loan or investment accounts and related GL accounts in SAP.

• Review detailed bank account analysis fees on monthly basis for accuracy and compare to budget.

• Prepare annual budget estimate of bank fees, borrowing facility fees and short-term interest expense and income.

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all cash transactions in SAP and bank systems.

• Capture ongoing business needs/requirements in order to recommend and/or implement improvements to cash processes and procedures to obtain maximum efficiency and effort.

• Interact with FE Service Co. business unit regarding initiatives and special projects which may require detailed analysis with recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline is required

• Minimum 0-2 years (Analyst I) / 2 - 4 years (Analyst II) related professional work experience is required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). SAP and banking systems experience preferred.

• Knowledge of cash management functions and related systems preferred

• Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information to audiences at all levels

• Has ability to work well both independently and within a team

• Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

• Provide prompt, efficient service to customers

• Innovative thinker and process improvement-oriented

• Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills
