About the Opportunity

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]

 

The Analyst will be responsible for supporting FirstEnergy’s Corporate Responsibility activities.  The Corporate Responsibility team focuses on demonstrating value from an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) perspective to our internal and external stakeholders. 

This position is considered “mobile” and can be sited anywhere is the FirstEnergy Service Territory (OH, WV, PA, MD, and NJ) with occasional travel into the Akron General Office.

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Contributing to corporate-wide, cross-department interactions to encourage thoughtful discussion
  • Developing and executing initiatives
  • Working with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the company
  • Collecting, researching, and reporting sets of data related to ESG topics
  • Improving processes for reporting
  • Measuring/tracking performances
  • Developing Power Points while using effective communication of education/presentations to employees, leadership, and external stakeholders
  • Creating and innovating opportunities to increase Corporate Responsibility activities
  • Willingness to be a champion of Corporate Responsibility at FirstEnergy 

 

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Forestry, or related discipline is required
  • Minimum 2-7 years professional work experience is required. Relevant work experience includes financial analysis, accounting, economics, conducting research and working with data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and lead cross functional teams and meetings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Possess a sound knowledge of basic researching techniques
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, including problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to deliver quality, accurate results within established deadlines
