The Dashboard & Survey Specialist focuses on Ethics & Compliance dashboards and surveys.  The Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Assurance team is responsible for managing risk assessments and assurance activities for E&C.  Responsibilities include establishing and managing the risk assessment framework and working collaboratively with other FirstEnergy teams responsible for various assurance activities to ensure a coordinated enterprise-wide approach. 


The Ethics & Compliance (E&C) group works to strengthen the company’s ethics and compliance profile for FirstEnergy’s operating companies. The team interacts with various functions to promote trust and respect, manage ethics and compliance risks, promote ethical business conduct, develop policies, procedures, and controls, and manage complaints and concerns.  The team also performs risk assessments, conducts investigations, coordinates training, and manages ethics and compliance communications.


The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.  This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time.


Responsibilities include:


  • Working cross-functionally to design and develop E&C dashboard for the monitoring of risks, controls, practices & procedures adherence, and investigations
  • Supporting requirements gathering for the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool that will be used for day-to-day E&C management
  • Collaborating with other E&C functions to design and develop surveys for management of ongoing processes and initiatives
  • Working with Reporting, Analytics, and Systems Analyst to share specifics of GRC data and data structure in support of broader reporting and analytics initiatives  
  • Developing dashboard and survey procedures
  • Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related discipline is required
  • Minimum 2 - 7 years of related work experience is required.  Related work experience includes work in ethic & compliance, internal audit, risk, or similar functions
  • Demonstrated experience creating dashboards and surveys preferred
  • Able to develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of organizational and planning skills
  • Able to build relationships and credibility across the organization
  • Able to prepare and deliver presentations of findings for a variety of audiences
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools preferred
