About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Corporation, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.

 

The position reports to the Associate General Counsel, Federal Regulatory, and is located at the General Office in Akron, Ohio.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinating general office functions and providing multifaceted support to the Associate General Counsel and others within the Legal Department.
  • Maintaining complex calendars on a daily basis
  • Handling of sensitive and confidential materials and information
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for key department materials and reports (electronic and hard copy)
  • Performing various general office duties involving word processing, record and file maintenance, scheduling travel arrangements, scheduling meetings and conference calls, mail distribution, receiving and directing visitors and telephone reception
  • Prepare and process timesheets and expense reports in SAP
  • Prepare correspondence and presentations; develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety including maintaining a safe workplace for coworkers
  • Independently anticipating and providing excellent quality service to meet internal and external customer needs
  • Using excellent communication skills with good judgment
  • Consistently anticipating needs and delivering results
  • Assisting with other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications 

 

  • High school diploma or GED required, advanced academic credentials are a plus
  • Minimum 5 years work experience required. Previous experience providing support to an executive preferred.
  • Must pass company Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must have the ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and work in pressure situations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, yet maintain a continued focus on the details required to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Well organized and detail oriented
