About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Solutions, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FES]

 

The Analyst position is in the Sales and Marketing Group under Government Aggregation and Mass Marketing.  The Analyst will be responsible for running financial studies of potential sales offers, campaign reporting, contract management, maintaining databases, pulling reports, setting up new, renewal and supplemental offers in CRM, responding to RFPs, coordinating bids and any other support work needed to increase sales and margin in Residential and Small Commercial sector.  The analyst must be flexible, willing to learn and able to manage multiple lines of work quickly and accurately.  Technical skills are highly desired.

 

Responsibilities include:

                                                         

  • Assisting sales representatives in bid (RFP) processes and outlining financial implications of bids
  • Tracking movement of new, renewal and supplemental bids, mailings and enrollments
  • Developing analytics and reports to track current, future and past load and revenues
  • Financial analysis of sales performance
  • Offer creation in Customer Relationship Management system
  • Delivering quality, accurate work within established deadlines
  • Recommending and implementing solutions to increasingly complex issues and assignments
  • Providing a high level of internal and external customer service, continuous support and proactive involvement with leadership and peers
  • Seeking ways to build, challenge and add value within scope of assignments
  • Anticipating and delivering results accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Owning work product after training and building on scope of learning
  • Maintaining and updating processes in department

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline is required  
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years related professional work experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge in developing reports and analyzing detailed data for meaning and value 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with employees and external vendors
  • Strong analytical abilities, including financial analysis and data analysis
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven track record of success in fast-paced, high-growth, independent environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word)
  • Experience with database queries or database management, ability to use basic programming skills a plus

  • Experience with Public Utilities Commissions and rules across Illinois, Pennsylvania and Ohio is desired

  • Demonstrated project management skills preferred
