About the Opportunity

 

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.  [SC00]

 

The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.  This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Build/Support of integrations for Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud solution
  • Develop/Enforce governance over how Oracle HCM Cloud solution should be configured for needed integrations to other systems (both internal and external)
  • Understanding of core HR processes around payroll, time, compensation, talent management, recruiting and compliance to ensure technology solutions can be implemented to meet all current and emerging business requirements
    • Proficient in integrating solutions, using HCM extracts, BI reporting, and solid understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud transformation fast formulas for inbound integrations.
    • Proficient in working with templates (rtf, excel, e-text)
    • Hands on experience with both inbound and outbound integrations.
    • Creating technical specification documentation
    • Experience in Oracle HCM Cloud advanced tools such as OIC, HCM Extracts, HDL, PBL, BI Publisher, REST APIs, SOAP, and Webservices.
    • Hands-on expertise in building, error handling, auditing, scheduling, deployment, monitoring/alert integrations in ICS, and support end-to-end testing of integrations
    • End-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud implementation experience with at least 1 or 2 end-to-end Oracle SaaS/PaaS/IaaS implementation projects
    • Knowledge of Oracle EBS/HCM/Payroll integrations
    • Ability to leverage pre-built integrations, cloud adapters, connections, SaaS applications, etc. in the solution
    • Experience in OIC platform and other integration components in OCI such as MFT, JCS, Visual Builder Studio and DBCS, and others
    • Expertise with REST, API, SOAP, PL, SQL, and the use of Oracle Cloud-delivered Web Services
    • Hands-on development experience with Oracle Database Cloud services (DBCS)
    • Strong experience integrating Oracle SaaS components using OIC
    • Experience with FMW Technology Adapters - DB adapter, JMS adapter, File/FTP adapter
    • Excellent debugging skills
    • Knowledge of OIC in-build cloud adapters (REST, SOAP, FTP, HCM, ATP)
    • Experience with Oracle Data Integrator is a plus
    • Creating and executing comprehensive unit test plans, developing test cases, assisting with integration, and completing system test plans
    • Unit, integration, performance and stress testing support for application enhancements, upgrades, and patches
    • Developing technical designs and estimates to meet the business needs while supporting the company’s overall IT direction and standards
    • Solving complex problems and troubleshoot functionality for issue identification
    • Providing production support of implemented functionality
  • Enable the HR functions to optimize business outcomes using Oracle HCM Cloud by acting as a liaison between the business and IT
  • Provide business process support through maintenance of integrations (internal and external)
  • Participate in the review of new functionality for each system release, testing and implementation
  • Documenting processes/procedures and specifications for peers.
  • Working independently or with business analysts to support requirements definition and test scenario identification.
  • Consistently delivering high quality results.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and implementing an enterprise integration architecture solution using adapters (SOAP, REST, FTP, other pre-built adapters) based on data mapping requirements
  • Leveraging HDL capabilities to import data into Oracle Fusion Cloud

 

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or a related degree along with 4 years related experience. In lieu of a degree, 6 years related experience.
    • Related experience includes, but is not limited to: experience working as an IT technical professional supporting integrations for Oracle HCM Cloud solution.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Company sites, work flexible hours, and be available for call-in and after-hours support (7x24 operations) when needed
  • Analytical skills to resolve problems and think creatively.
  • Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects, with the aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Ability to learn new concepts in information technology, learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology.
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to make formal presentations to various audiences, the ability to express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Highly motivated to work independently and productively but also able to work in a virtual environment (working with remote co-workers using virtual technologies).
  • Ability to meet established priorities and schedules, and willing to undertake assignments involving multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide software solutions and supporting entire software development life cycle
  • Preferred experience with utility industry knowledge and software application configuration
