About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co. a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.  [SC00]

The position is within the FE Innovation Center and reports to the Manager, Automation. It can be located in OH, PA, MD, WV, or NJ, with travel as needed.

 

This position is responsible for developing and documenting simple process automation solutions using robotics process automation (RPA) software; while using best practices to drive business value.  This position facilitates delivery of complex solutions to business problems through detailed discovery of their needs.  The individual should have a deep passion for innovation.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Design RPA process solutions in accordance with standard RPA design principles and conventions
  • Deveop new RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well-structured, maintable, scalable, and easy to understand.
  • Create and maintain solution documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Configure new RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand
  • Follow secure practices to ensure the application is free of most common vulnerabilities
  • Resolve defects and other performance problems discovered in testing
  • Support existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process
  • Work within project planning constraints, communciating any identified project risks and issues to the project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process
  • Authors and maintains solution design documentation
  • Develops efficient, well-structured and scalable automation processes
  • Analyses and resolves automation software issues where required
  • Assist the business in completing the necessary project documentaiton required in order to assess an automation opportunity
  • Participates in code review on each seciton of the automated process doce

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience required.  Relevant work experience will include intermediate experience in designing, developing and documenting  software solutions with robotics process automation (RPA) solutions experience.
  • Experience in business analysis, scoping business requirements, identifying scope change and system impacts (including external systems)
  • Experience in documenting requirements using Use Cases, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Process Decomposition Diagrams and Workflows
  • Strong software development, testing and coding skills
  • Understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualise it as an automated solution
  • Experience with automation and RPA platforms, Automation Anywhere preferred
  • Completion of RPA certification programs, Automation Anywhere preferred
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience providing customer-focused support, both internally and externally
  • Good communication and organizational skills
