This is a system administrator role on the IT End User Systems and Access Management team supporting Messaging & Collaboration and Identity Management. The team manages Exchange, Cisco Email Gateway, Kofax, Pager Management (xMatters) & other O365 components. They also administer FIM (Forefront Identity Manager) which is used to address the complexities of identity management by offering self-service access or our users.

 

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform system administrative duties for Office O365 (Exchange, Skype, Outlook), Microsoft Identity Management (FIM/IDM), xMatters, Cisco Email Gateway, and other end user applications; operational support
  • Process client requests for Identity Mgmt and Messaging & Collaboration assignment groups in ITSM
  • Manage the patching, server rollovers and upgrades of the application servers; application versioning support and administration
  • Assess security/mailbox requirements and process adjustments for transfers and separations
  • Interface with end users on a daily/weekly basis: HR, Compliance, Cyber Security, Security Technologies, MS App Server, and various Application Support Teams
  • Be a liaison to the business and other departments of IT for access related questions, primarily for security groups, distribution groups, shared mailboxes and role-based access
  • Work closely with Central Security Administrators to process client requests in a timely manner
  • Support the End User Systems Qlikview reports
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation (cycling weekly) responding to out-of-hours calls and alerts in support of security response, including infrequent on-site response out-of-hours

 

 

Requirements at the Level II include:

  • Associate’s or BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or 2-4 years of experience in IT; system administrator experience preferred
  • Novice level with Microsoft SQL Server (stored procedures, views, tables, normalization)
  • Novice support experience with Windows Server Operating Systems (2008 and beyond)
  • Fundamental awareness of PowerShell scripting
  • Understanding the primary purpose of Active Directory, identity management and role-based access
  • Experience with Qlikview reporting
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and application architecture
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve problems and think creatively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects.
  • Highly motivated to work independently and productively, with an aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment with remote colleagues utilizing virtual technologies.
  • Willingness to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work with third party vendors to work through support/project items

 

Qualifications at the Level III include all the above, plus:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science/related field or 4-7 years of experience in IT, system administration experience preferred
  • Intermediate level with Microsoft SQL Server (stored procedures, views, tables, normalization)
  • Intermediate support experience with Windows Server Operating Systems (2008 and beyond)
  • Intermediate level experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Intermediate level experience with Active Directory and Exchange
  • Understanding of Role Based Access, distribution groups & security group management
  • Preferred: Identity Management related development and support experience, preferably with Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)

 

 

Qualifications at the Level IV include all the above, plus:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or 7-10 years of experience in IT, system administration experience required
  • Experience as an Exchange administrator (O365), xMatters, Cisco Email Gateway
  • Advanced level with Microsoft SQL Server (stored procedures, views, tables, normalization)
  • Advanced support experience with Windows Server Operating Systems (2008 and beyond)
  • Intermediate level experience with PowerShell scripting
  • MIM development and support experience
  • Advanced level experience with Active Directory and Exchange
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including but not limited to networking, load balancing, firewall rules, SSL, system management / monitoring, hardware components (storage, CPU, etc)
