About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [DBN]

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing I&C Maintenance work packages for corrective, deficient, and other work activities, ensuring maintenance activities are performed in accordance with FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) procedures.
  • Performing job walk-downs in all areas of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station to validate correctness of scope, parts, clearances, and work package preparation for I&C Maintenance and Contract Maintenance.
  • Initiating required permits and clearance requests for the scope of the work, and identifying support needs from other groups.
  • Providing work instructions and oversight to the field at a level of detail determined by the scope of the work to ensure due dates and completion standards are met, i.e., task steps, safety precautions, tasks, materials, job duration.
  • Performing Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School diploma or GED. 
  • Five years of related field experience in I&C Maintenance, Work Management, or Operations at a nuclear power plant is preferred.  In lieu of experience, an Associate's Degree in a related technical field of study or equivalent training and experience, as determined by the Company, will be considered.
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex technical data from multiple sources, i.e., technical manuals, drawings, weld drawings, procedures, and specifications.
  • Strong leadership skills for planning, being self-directed, and working with peers and others.
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must reside within site-specific ERO response time.
