Supervisor, Nuclear Electrical Maintenance at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station

 

Responsibilites include:

 

  • Supervising and coordinating daily electrical maintenance work on plant equipment and facilities consistent with standardized FENOC fleet practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Assigning tasks and managing personnel to ensure due dates and completion standards are met.- Supervising and directing craft and contractor personnel conducting electrical maintenance-related work.
  • Enforcing the terms of the company/union agreement.
  • Investigating and settling grievances promptly.
  • Ensuring personnel are properly trained and qualified to perform assigned activities.
  • Generating, investigating and processing Condition Reports.
  • Enforcing established site standards and expectations with the work force by providing in-field oversight, mentoring and coaching for assigned work crews.
  • Interfacing with other site groups to resolve issues.
  • Conducting shop briefs and pre-job briefs.
  • Implementing the daily schedule during on-line and outage periods.
  • Providing on-line and pre-outage work order reviews, walk downs, and validation for correctness of scope, parts, clearances, and work package preparation.
  • Performing Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED is required. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' nuclear experience in construction, maintenance, operations or engineering of which two years should be in a technical field is required.
  • Shall have a minimum of four years of experience in the craft or discipline that the person supervises. (ANSI N18.1-1971, Section 4.3.2)
  • 3 years of prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current INPO ACAD 90-10 qualification preferred.
  • Possess a working knowledge of power plant layout and construction and knowledge of electric utility steam generating power plant operations to include turbines, generators and associated control and auxiliary equipment. 
  • Possess knowledge of Electrical Maintenance practices and procedures, particularly in equipment and voltage.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work shift schedules, temporary schedules and extended hours as necessary.
  • Able to support travel with possible overnight stays when necessary.
  • Reside within site-specific ERO response time.
