About the Opportunity

 

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [PEN]

 

 

Responsibilities include::

  • Developing technical and quality requirements for quality parts/components and services
  • Evaluating alternate parts/components to resolve obsolescence issues.
  • Evaluating parts level safety classification for quality components
  • Dispositioning quality control notifications on received parts
  • Developing commercial grade dedication plans for parts used in quality applications
  • Performing NUPIC and FENOC vendor audits as a technical specialist

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution is required
  • Procurement Engineering qualification (JPR 4.1, 4.2) is preferred
  • Demonstrated Electrical, I&C or Mechanical experience is required
  • Design Engineering or Maintenance experience is preferred
  • On-site support is preferred but not mandatory
  • Procurement Engineering qualification (JPR 1.2 and 5.8) is a plus
